What's on August in Chester?

There sure is a lot happening this August! Check out the events that we have picked just for you, so that you can enjoy everything Chester has to offer…

Dirty Hans Exhibition: Hans Goes Pop – 29th July – 14th August 2016

For just two weeks at the beginning of August, a solo exhibition of high impact contemporary urban art by artist Dirty Hans will be displayed at Art At 41. Hans paints with acrylics and spray paints on canvas, and has also branched into digital based art providing him with the opportunity to manipulate a strictly two-dimensional service. He has cited Roy Lichtenstein as well as other early pop artists as a major influence on his work, and this can be clearly seen in his pieces. The main theme of Hans’ work is his battle against concept of high art, and this can be seen through his use of popular iconography such as Audrey Hepburn, comic book characters, and politicians.

Only open for two weeks, you’re going to want to hurry and visit before you miss it! Click here for more information!
